The past six weeks have been a nice preview of things to come in 2015 on The PGA TOUR. We have seen some of new names emerge, some vets looking sharp and a couple of big names are almost ready to return which all points toward a lot more exciting action to come for golf fans during the upcoming year. The first six PGA Tour Events in the 2014-2015 Season have shown us some names to watch for next year. Some that a lot of us may not have really known and some that we have known for a long time. Either way, it's looking good for The PGA Tour in 2015.
One new name that definitely stands out is Robert Streb.
Robert Streb made a big move early and is leading the pack. This guy is for real and looks like he is geared up, has hit his stride and is here to stay. In five events so far, he has 5 made cuts, 3 Top 10's, 1 Win and is Ranked #1 in The FEDEXCUP Standings. Nice start! Sang Moon-Bae and Ben Martin are also off to really hot starts. Brendan de Jonge, Shawn Stefani, Kevin Streelman, Will MacKenzie, Jason Bohn and Tony Finau are a few more names to watch for. All of these guys are playing well as of late and have the games to carry the momentum over for a great year in 2015.
Bubba Watson has already shown us how much excitement he can bring to the course any given day, especially on Sunday. With a holed out 60 yard bunker shot for eagle which forced a Playoff with Tim Clark in China, Bubba displayed some fireworks and went on to win The HSBC Champions. Charley Hoffman and Ken Duke have been around for a while and are off to great starts as well.
Tiger Woods and Dustin Johnson are both getting really close to making comebacks and mostly everyone is looking forward to having them back. Phil Mickelson made a comment after the Tour Championship saying that he is basically going to really focus and give it his all over the next 4 years for what maybe his final run on The PGA Tour before transitioning to The Champions Tour.
The list goes on and on with so many more names of extremely talented players on Tour that all have the potential to make it an incredible year for us to watch and root for our favorites. There will be many new names that will become stars, current superstars making more "must see Sundays" and some surprise finishes that will all keep us coming back to watch week in and week out. With all of the amazing talent on The PGA Tour heading into 2015, both old and new, it's going to be a GREAT year to be a golf fan!
